Look book part 2

The scarves will be available from this friday over in the shop! They are a limited edition collection made from 100% silk crepe de chine. The design was hand painted by Helen Dealtry at the Brooklyn studio, digitally printed in London and then hand-finished in Brooklyn, New York.
Light enough for long summer evenings, and wrapped around for fall, the silk is surprisingly warm. A scarf for all seasons, win win!

Behind the scenes

Just a few of the out-takes from our photo-shoot the other day. Talk about a dream-team of ladies to work with, shooting the new color palettes of the Dealtry scarf was so much fun!

Photos by Jennifer Sarkilahti
I was lucky enough to have Jennifer behind the camera, (the most modest of photographers and she always gets the shot!) Perfumer Anne of MCMC Fragrances was our beautiful model for the day. And super talented stylist Katie McClain worked her magic and made us all very jealous of her shoe collection!

June flowers

For more outfit updates, check me out @shopdealtry on Instagram!
Really feeling the power of the flower right now, mixing up my floral prints this weekend and i'm surprised to say that I was pretty into it!
These shoes and trousers were a couple of vintage finds and I never thought about putting them together. This one is a big ol' man repeller of an outfit, but ladies how do you feel about the mix?

Floral designs at the studio

Painting flowers is a big part of how I make my living, and so usually I stick to geometric prints and solid colors in my wardrobe. But, occasionally a really good print catches my eye, like this gorgeous one from the Summer '12 line at Zimmerman. Now these guys do a good floral, totally dreamy stuff!
Loving these images from their site...

For summer....
....and for fall.

I would like these trousers from here too, BUT with a top covering the crotch area, leggings as trousers are just not on!

'Bleached Beach' scarf

The first new color-way of the Jenny scarf had a test-run over on the west coast recently, at a friends wedding in Santa Cruz.

'Bleached' looked quite at home on the deck where we were staying.

It was a crazy fast trip but if I'd been staying longer, I would love to have some of these items to...

1. Totokaelo   2. Odetteny   3. Net-a-porter   4. Net-a-porter   5. Odetteny   6. Totokaelo

Working with IN GOD WE TRUST

Since moving to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I have been a fan of the store In God we trust , it was where I bought my first piece of local jewelry, made by the girls in the shop.
The brand has been steadily growing and now has stores in Manhattan, Williamsburg and Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and it's no wonder with such a great mix of clothing, jewelry and other desirable objects for guys and gals.
So, having seen the quality of the workmanship that goes into all their products, I was delighted when they agreed to work with us at WG Designs, on edging the Dealtry scarves. We love that they are a Brooklyn born company with emphasis kept on all production done in the US and that they support other local designers and artisans, like us!

The scarves have been impeccably finished by the IGWT team, now they are almost ready to share with you.......

....almost! But first here are some of my top picks from the store, I've got my beady on the red top!
1. Top and skirt           2. Key rings           3. Baggu purse          4. High tide skirt

Thanks to Ilana for sharing her friends at IGWT with us, another local designer who does wonderful things.

Loving the talented ladies of Brooklyn!
