my finished fabric
there is a lot of prep work involved in this craft, so be prepared to roll up your sleeves, but it's totally worth the effort! |
Wow! Your fabric looks amazing!Love those pops of pink :)

It was funny, I was trying to hold back and do some cleaner more muted, 'sophisticated' palettes but I kept throwing that pink in at the last minute!
Deletetee hee - i spy my naked feets in the above photos! i had such a blast, and ilana really wasn't kidding when she said she threw up in the marbling deep end. or was it ironing deep end...
ReplyDeleteit was also really great to meet you! i hope we can get together again soon, maybe with some corndog involvement, too. :)
Likewise kay! And what?! Really, oh no!! It was quite exerting work, but worth it for sure.
DeleteYes! I would love to do a walk or dog-run time with you and Mr corn dog!
oh jeez! i just re-read my comment - i meant threw US, not up! haha. though jeez, that could've been on the more "experimental" side of marbling for sure. ;)
DeleteOh wow! Beautiful. I love Ilana's work. I'm taking a class at TAC right now...it's so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Becca! I wanna marble everything now :)
DeleteWow - that looks so beautiful! Let me know next time you take a class - I'd love to join! xo

Hi Shannon! It was fun, I think Ilana is holding a class in the fall at the textile institute. Not sure of the dates but it may be on their website schedule?x
Deleteso good having you guys there! hoping to do this again if you & jennifer want another shot at it. If it didn't scare you off with all that grunt work.. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is just incredible. thank you so much for sharing! I hope you don't mind me blogging and face booking about it? Linking everything to your blog off course..
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning! I love the effect marbling creates, capturing the movement and shapes of the liquid, really beautiful!
